A British version of “Saturday Night Live” has debuted to largely positive reviews. The first episode of “SNL UK” was hosted by Tina Fey, a veteran of the American show, and stuck closely in format to the U.

Wet Leg were the first British band to take the SNL UK stage, performing two songs from their recent album Moisturizer. Like the US version, the sound quality for these performances was somewhat muddled and poorly mixed, but the band’s energy carried them through.

Saturday Night Live UK is being extended to eight episodes. Originally planned for six live episodes on Sky in the UK, the decision has now been made to supersize with another two 75-minute shows. The first ep debuts tomorrow night (March 21) at 10pm UK local time,
