I did not really start speaking until age 4, and then it was a lot of echolalia, scripting, etc. I have friends who are non-speaking. Some use devices to communicate, others have intellectual disability and do not use words to express themselves. 💜 I also have friends who are hyper-verbal or have hyperlexia, all are lovely people. 💜 Autistic people are valid no matter how they communicate.
